Q
What sort of experience does S3 have?
AWe here at S3 Security Systems carry over ten years of experience in the surveillance industry. Homes or businesses, we’ve seen it all. Unless the International Space Station makes a special request, it’s unlikely we’ll be surprised by any new opportunity.
Q
What is the quality of equipment offered?
AThe best. We understand that there is a lot of bottom-dollar products which, while soft on the wallet, will fail if you so much as sneeze in their presence. We offer the best, because that’s what brings us business. We know that a product that works for years is going to bring you back as a customer — a cheap send-off with a piece of junk will not.
Q
What can we expect from the installation process?
AOur installers are well trained and very experienced. The experience with them will go as such: if needed, they can come and assess your security needs. They will map out a solution for you and, once the equipment is in place, they can come and install it. Additionally, we offer free educational tools to help you install and fix your own equipment.
Q
How clear will the video be?
AVery clear. Right off the bat, virtually all cameras these days come with powerful megapixel sensors. The standard megapixel size is 2, giving users a solid 1080p resolution. Further up, 3MP, 4MP, 5MP, all the way to 12MP, will provide even more crisp resolutions. Alongside the actual sensor are a number of technologies that clear up image quality — Digital Noise Reductions to cut down on fuzz and Wide Dynamic Range to deal with strongly contrasted lighting conditions.
Q
How much will it cost?
AUp to you! We offer great value — equipment that is powerful and durable without crushing the budget. If you are feeling unsure on this front, just know that we offer free quotes and on-site assessments!
Q
Can you install something I already own?
AAbsolutely. Installations are a huge part of our business and we take pride in being good at it, too.
Q
Is there a fee for visisting my home or business for a quote?
ANo fees! Our quotes are free and we are more than happy to come and assess your security situation.
Q
What type of hardware will you use?
AThe best for you. Obviously, there are all kinds of equipment available on the market, but we cannot say what sort will be used for you until we understand your needs. That said, we only go for the best — a balance of quality and price. This applies to everything — even our cables utilize high quality copper and come gel-packed and UV coated for outdoor use.
Q
Is there a monthly fee?
ANo. If there is any monthly fee possible, it will be with a cloud storage service that will be handled outside of S3 Security Systems. (We do not currently offer our own cloud storage program.)
Q
Do you offer training after installation?
A100%. We consider this a huge part of the services we offer. Not only will we come and install the equipment, but we are very interested in making sure that you know what to do with it. We are not a giant corporation that’s alright with sitting on our hands and making house calls that are never on time. We’re not here to just give you the best equipment, but also the best service. So yes, that will include training if you are up for it! Training will include the typical how-to fare, but also how to use the apps, how to log on remotely, view live recordings, playbacks, etc.
Q
Do you have technical support?
AYup. If you have any issues at all with the equipment, feel free to call in and we will help you solve it.
Q
Can you work on my system remotely?
AYes. As long as you have internet and can do teamviewer, we can remotely take a look at the problems and help find ways to fix them. Remote viewing has its limitations, though, as obviously we are not there in person to physically solve the problem. However, we can almost always diagnose the issue remotely.
Q
Can I get a free quote?
AAbsolutely and always.
Q
What is your service area?
AOur main service area is South Central U.S., but we have accepted jobs as far as California and Florida. Internationally, we’ve gone all the way down to Paraguay.
Q
Will I get alerts and notifications?
AYes. DVRs and cameras both have alert functionalities. You can set up the alert triggers yourself. These triggers are very diverse, ranging from the typical motion to lost or suspicious item detections.
